Design Concepts: Adding Social Feeds

Social feed shows a continuous update of whatever is posted to the social media site. This is different from being taken out to the site via a link placed on a page sponsor footer.

In contrast, a Social Feed brings up to date information on events, product updates, and a general flow of news for your users. It also makes users feel connected with your school, business, or city. The social feed is always the last component placed on a page. Users simple scroll up to read through the social feed.

Advertisement banners appear on pages that do not have a sponsor footer. The Sponsor Footer component provides five buttons at the bottom of an app page. These buttons remain at the bottom of the app page regardless of the user scrolling up and down on the app page. Below are three education applications that use a Sponsor Footer. Tapping on any of the sponsor icons takes the user to the sponsor’s website.
